Hi everyone,
I am seeking assistance in determining the value A in START-PROF as per SNIP II-7-81. According to the online help document, the equivalent static analysis method is implemented in START-PROF, which allows for the analysis of seismic resistance with some margin. Inertial forces are calculated using the following formula:
Aj = 1.3Ma * A * Kv
I understand that this formula is derived from equation 16.20 in GOST 32388, and that the variable A comes from SNIP II-7-81. However, I am unsure about how to obtain the value of A. Can anyone guide me on this or provide some examples? I would greatly appreciate your help.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Need help with determining the value A in START-PROF as per SNIP II-7-81

I would like to clarify my question further, Is variable A derived from the acceleration component of Soil in Equation (2) in Section 2.5? , equation(2) is Soik=Qk*A*βi*Kw*Nik, the acceleration component is this formula is A*βi? β can take the maximum is 2.5, A take from the tabie16.1 in GOST 32388?”
